no CPO email.... just the below...funny part is, it was approved yesterday and when I checked the status this morning there was no change.

Thank you for your effort. Recapture of unused visas will eliminate most of the backlogs (does it require a congressional approval or if anything can be done as a part of an admin fix). Anything that requires a congressional will be lumped with the CIR, we are a small group of people held hostage at the mercy of CIR.

In my situation, my lawyer confirms that my child is safe.

It seems you have some issues where you do not want to listen to the other persons arguments and you conteract is in the following ways
1. Browbeat the person by abusing him and accusing him of being a smooch, not a donor and not a volunteer. I have seen how you and other EB2 like you have been doing this on IV with other people. 2. When you fail to incite the other person by using the above strong arm tactics you try a new tack by taking the holier than thou attitide

As far as I know conversion from H4 to H1 comes under cap unless you are in one of the exempt categories.

So got I-485 approval email for self and wife last night at 11:30pm MST.
My American Dream journey:
Came to the US in 99'Fall for MS.
1st GC Labor applied in 2002 but got laid off due to bad economy.
2nd GC Labor applied in 2005 then changed company.
3rd GC application in Jun'06 and still with the same company.
Center : NSC.
Priority Date: June23rd'06

When you called TSC prior to your GC approval, what did the IO at TSC tell you?
I'm asking because I know your RD was June 2007, when I called TSC today they told me that they have not got to my I-485 application because they are currently working on I-485 applications with RDs of April 2007 and my RD is June 2007 like yours.

EB3 ROW is at Jun 2004. But as per latest USCIS inventory, EB3 ROW pending 485's are around 48,000. Visa numbers available every year for EB3 is approximately 42k. If you deduct the backlogged EB3 countries (4x3000) visa numbers, the total comes down to 30k for EB3 ROW. So EB3 ROW should become current or atleast Jul 07 in another 1.5 years. If this is not going to happen, it means they are diverting the EB3 numbers to some other categories.

Are fingerprints required for all EAD renewals? I am travelling on projects across the country and will not be at home to attend the fingerprint appointment if any. Is it possible to get a fingerprint appointment in another location. My address is in Texas, but my project is in Wisconsin.

I will reach out to the admins and see if they can provide some templates. By the way, we could use one of the other (issues) templates that were floating around a couple months back. Not sure if they are still there.
I think that we all should send the letter individually. Why? Because the if each one of us will send, it will look genuine and will remind the DoL each time/day they get a letter. We have 50 some people, 50 letters will make them look into it.
P.S: good job in finding the plan, its about time that we do something, I dont think any more people are going to come.

The reciprocity treaty between US and other countries donoring H1 immigrants is very important and sensitive. This could be a very powerful leverage for the US law-makers to make them think again about the legal immigration...
It worth the IV forum to start digging in this direction. Together with the exposure to the media this would be the remedy of our problems. The rest is a waste of time.
