I have applied for labor certification in Dec 2006. In may 2007 I got a denail stating that the company is not "bonafide". It is a new company and I am the 1st applicant for labor. We sent all the supporting documents and requested for review/appleal in May 2007. Since then we did not get any status from them. My attorney called them last week and made an inquiry. DOL Atlanta said that they need to do the "central check" of teh company. They do this for every new company. Does anybody aware of this "central check". How long it will take?

:D :D yes they have removed it...I think it was just to get publicity....and they are following this thread..

02/02/2007: Senate Passed H.R. 2 Without Immigration Reform Bills

During the debate, the immigration reform bill introduced by Senator Kerry as Title VI was agreed to, but it appears that at the last minute the immigration reform bills were sliced off along with all other bills which are not related to the minimum wage in passing H.R. 2 at 5:00 p.m. by the Senate. We incorrectly recorted the immigration bills were part of the H.R. 2 which the Senate passed yesterday. The final H.R. 2 bill passed by the Senate is expected to go to the Senate-Haouse Conference committee.

Please use proper language 'money helper'
You think you can make people who are not even aware of 'day trading' the greatest financial experts, by your 'blogs' (where are they?)
I don't want your 'cake', for that matter anybody's. You eat well (and have stomach problems). Why bother to educate this nonsense here.
I asked because when you try people to this trap, you should have the basic decency to tell atleast how much you lost!
if people are interested in financial investments and if they have enough knowledge, surely they won't come here to read your crap. Anyway those who become educated reading things here are destined to lose.

i dont understand why people wants to contradict in every post, chintu is trying to share some knowledge if u dont want it thats fine u dont need to contradict it....even i dont do this stock stuff but that does not mean i should contradict it...

Yeah, but the 5th item being demanded is the same as a free trip to the moon with out any flight training. In a logical and sensible world it will not work and will make this forum and organization look like have no motive or direction with every demand being considered viable., just beacuse it "sounds like a great idea" to a few folks.
You will never change yourself. Please get out of this thread and we don't need your comments. Sorry to say this.

    Thanks for offering to help.

Can you explain how does Nasdaq mini or S&P futures differ from stock. My understanding is that technicals are same behind any asset class.

If you could share your charts and explain your strategy, it will be a great help to all of us.

    >> ... I would definitely say ..stay away from day trading !!!
Depends on lot of factors. I have been trading for last 10 years. I don't trade stocks. I trade index futures sp500 and Nasdaq mini. It is short term - couple of hours to maximum couple of days. Day Trading requires good analytical skills for technical charts and lot of discipline to follow enter and exit rules.

Taxes are computed differently for futures trading. You will need this IRS form (6781 Gains and Losses From Section 1256 Contracts and Straddles) to file your taxes for trading futures.

    >> ... STAY AWAY from all day trading software !!!
I agree. They are mostly snake oil. I suggest - do some reading and follow some indicators and come up with Trading Strategy. It is recommended to do paper trading before starting trading with real money.

    >> ... if you cannot take losses (or are happy with normal returns) ...stay away from stocks (except for a small portfolio/ 401 etc) completely
Trading, of course, involves risks. I pick funds for my 401(k). So far it has been good. I was up last year 4.2%. Never had any losing year in 401(k).

There are many tools for technical charting. I use Ninja Trader since it allow to me define new indicators using c# (.net) language.

If anyone is interested, I put my daily charts here. Sorry, I can not disclose my indicators and I don't have anything to sell either.

I can share some trading books, if you are interested.

Disclaimer: Information use only and should not be constructed as an offer to buy or sell any securities. Trading is very risky and is not for everyone.

    Hello Friends,

Got a chance to speak to a customer service advocate at NSC. A very nice lady looked up my case and told me the case is with an officer. She also added I will be hearing something very soon. So keeping my fingers crossed. I always wondered if the cases made to an IO only when a visa number was assigned to the case or whether the case went to the IO first and then they looked to assign a numbers. Don't know - but will hopefully hear some good news soon. Good luck to all of you.

Not to sound too needy (reminds me of a saying back in my home country "ungli diya to hath pakadke kandhe pe chad gaya")

I know I know nothing cant beat the "KLPD" remark someone made few posts back

It seems there were 4 COSPONSORS for this amendment.

    Sen Snowe, Olympia J. [ME] - 1/24/2007
    Sen Sununu, John E. [NH] - 1/24/2007
    Sen Landrieu, Mary L. [LA] - 1/24/2007
    Sen Lieberman, Joseph I. [CT] - 1/24/2007

Most likely they have no clue to whats going on, or they are genuinely interested in helping us. I'm going to email them and ask if they know about this amendment. And if they reply positively maybe ask them would they do this again sometime soon :) maybe with some tweaks and changes.

If you have not helped bring atleast one member to this forum, stop. Make that call right now, help a friend register, explain and make them aware.
This is the homework before the holidays.

Thank you everyone, who has been trying so hard to keep this thread alive, active and on track.

I know we are nearing our self set deadline of Dec 31st to double our membership through the Add ONE Member campaign. The goal (15000 members) is no where in sight. But I am not worried. In fact, I am very much enthusiastic, because we were able to add a considerable number of members in the last week.

But we can do a lot better!!!

A IV update on another members only thread about opportunities in Jan and Feb, made me take time out from my very important work project and send this message out. We need to increase our membership NOW!

And the Add ONE Member campaign is the perfect vehicle.

Let each of us add one member. Also I suggest that one of us take the responsibility to PM online members and remind them to add ONE member (some of us just need a reminder).

Also, Pappu or Logiclife said that they would attach the Add ONE member campaign details in the IV newsletter. I think we should send the newsletter immediately to all current IV members.

Together we can achieve this very attainable goal of 15000 members by Dec 31st.

    Thank you.

Hey, I am still left with 5 more days for my 90 day period. Would you suggest me to go ahead and take the Info pass?? Am not sure, does the info pass schedule has a waiting period too?

I would suggest to go ahead and take infopass appointment as the chances are that you might not get appointment right away, if you have a choice on selecting dates, take one after 5 days, so you have passed 90th day.
take the PDF june 12th memo with you as well.
If you are lucky and get your card prod. email , you can cancel infopass anytime.

    Enforcement First
The right way to reform immigration.

    An NRO Primary Document

Editor's note: This letter was released this morning by John Fonte of the Hudson Institute.
Prominent Conservatives and Civic Leaders Urge President Bush and Congress to Back Enforcement First on Immigration

Leading conservatives and civic leaders have signed an open letter on immigration declaring that border and interior enforcement must be funded, operational, implemented, and proven successful and only then can we debate the status of current illegal immigrants, or the need for new guest worker programs.

The signers include William Bennett, Robert Bork, William F Buckley, Ward Connerly, Newt Gingrich, David Horowitz, David Keene, John Leo, Herbert London, Rich Lowry, Daniel Pipes, Phyllis Schlafly, and Thomas Sowell among others.

Hudson Senior Fellow John Fonte, who organized the letter, said:

We want to commend the members of Congress who have supported enforcement first including 85% of all Congressional Republicans, 36 Democrats in the House and 4 in the Senate.

We particularly want to thank Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) and House chairmen Jim Sensenbrenner (R-WI) and Peter King (R-NY) for their leadership role in putting Americas national interests in border and interior enforcement first.

As a matter of organizational policy, Hudson Institute does not take stances on pending legislation.

First Things First on Immigration: An Open Letter to President Bush, Senate Majority Leader Frist, and Speaker of the House, Hastert

Recently, columnist Thomas Sowell wrote: It will take time to see how various new border control methods work out in practice and there is no reason to rush ahead to deal with people already illegally in this country before the facts are in on how well the borders have been secured.

We the undersigned agree with this statement. In 1986, Congress passed comprehensive immigration reform that included amnesty for around 3 million illegal immigrants, border enforcement, and interior enforcement (employer sanctions). Amnesty came, but enforcement was never seriously implemented either at the border or in the interior.

Let us not make this mistake again. We favor what Newt Gingrich has described as sequencing. First border and interior enforcement must be funded, operational, implemented, and proven successful and only then can we debate the status of current illegal immigrants, or the need for new guest worker programs. We are in the middle of a global war on terror. 2006 is not 1986. Today, we need proof that enforcement (both at the border and in the interior) is successful before anything else happens. As Ronald Reagan used to say trust, but verify.

The majority of Republicans in the Senate opposed the recently passed Hagel-Martinez bill. Senator Vitter (R-LA) said that because border enforcement will not be in place, this [bill] will in fact make the illegal immigration problem much bigger. The No. 3 Republican in the Senate, Senator Rick Santorum (PA) said, We need a border-security bill first. Senator Vitter, Senator Santorum, the majority of Senate Republicans, and the majority of House Republicans are right we need proven enforcement before we do anything else. Adopting cosmetic legislation to appear to be doing something about enforcement, but which actually makes the situation worse, is not statesmanship, it is demagogy.

We thank the majority of the Senate Republicans (33 in all) and the seven Democrats who supported the Isakson amendment, which insists upon verifiable benchmarks for border security before considering other issues. Moreover, we say Thank You to Jim Sensenbrenner, Peter King, and the bi-partisan House majority including 36 Democrats, that passed HR 4437. We may quibble with a clause here and there, but you in the House and the majority of Senate Republicans are right to emphasize that the Congress and the President must deal with enforcement first and other issues later. Stand fast; the American people are overwhelmingly with you.
