Victory? Apple is at war?
Absolutely. They have been at war since the days of Windows. However, the "enemy" has changed, and this is a far cry from victory.

Hi All,
First off I am new here, so Hi again
I have a small problem getting Microsoft Outlook 2001 to use my 2003 Exchange server. I have to admit I am new to macs and am finding it a little hard to do anything but I am trying.
From what I can tell is that for some reason my the mac will not resolve the server name to an ip address. I mean when I look in the Outlook settings, under services --> properties if I place the servers IP address there and then the user name and then 'check the name' it resolves the name of the server and under lines the user name (which as far as I am concerned has worked).
Yet when I then launch Outlook I get a message saying folders could not be opened. The attempt to log on to the server failed..... Microdoft Outlook could not be started. The attempt to log on to the MS Exchange Server failed....................
What I have done so far:-
Updated the /etc/hosts file and added the ip address for the server (can ping both IP and name from the console and network util)
When in Outlook settings --> properties and user the server name instead of the IP address and try and check name I get an error.. The name could not be resolved. Network problems are preventing connection to the MS Exchange Server, Contact your system adminsitrator (me).
Sorry for the long post but this is a real problem. Any help would be much appreciated.
Ian
PS The only thing I can sort of think of at the moment is that Outlook starts I think in classic mode??? I am not sure if this starts a new shell and therefore ignores the /etc/hosts file and that is the reason why it can not resolve the server name. If I am right my next question would be where is the hosts file for the classic enviroment??

Any larger versions out there? It is a lovely image but too small a resolution for my monitor.I'm afraid I don't know of any larger resolution. I don't quite know if there's anything.

I have a factory unlocked iphone 4 and whilst on iOS 4.1, I became aware that when I installed gyroscope apps, they don't work. When 4.2.1 came out instead of solving the problem, my compass also failed. Both my gyro and compass don't work anymore... 4.3 came out still the same problem..
Now that 4.3.1 came out the accelerometer also failed!
Thank god I save my SHSH blobs since I restored back to 4.2.1
Shame on you Apple!!

He is going to sleep with her no matter what you do, regardless if he sleeps their or not.
Just this way he doesnt have to lie to you and he isnt going to be sneaking around.
Let the kid get some without making it so difficult :-)

Wow... this girl handmakes these stylish vinyl laptop bags that are sized for 12" and 15" Powerbooks. Probably most appealing to girls, but I'm thinking about getting one of the 15" ones and a shoulder strap.
A little on the pricey side, maybe? But totally one of a kind, and they're handmade, so you can't really complain.

I thought the i-series couldnt handle a dual setup, only some of the higher end xeons. Hence no dual mobo's for i7's.

Well i can find the app in the store via search, but when I try to "click" the app to go the screen to buy it, my iPhone tells me "Your request cannot be completed".
I find it extremely lame that others can already download this app, yet for some reason I cannot. WTF Apple?

As a professional photographer this thing is (and always will be) an "App Store" toy - nothing more.
The iPad will never have the horse power to do what pros need.
So true. I will also stand with you that humanity has reached its technological peak, and there is nothing left to be invented. All we have to do now is lean back and smile at our incredible achievements.
Those fools who waste their time using their imaginations... Better to just appreciate all that currently exists and discourage others who try to imagine better possibilities. Amiright?
Sure, in the 80s we were the ones that said the personal computer, upon its release, was nothing more than a toy, despite it absurd popularity. So, okay, we were wrong then, but I assure you, not this time! Not this time!!
