Hi,
Have a question on my visa.
I applied for H1 visa with company A, when I am in US in Apr'08 with
L1 thats getting expired, due to emergency I went to India.
I got h1 approval notice with COS on July'23 2008.
My Indian company B asked to get fresh L1 , so I took a stamping on
Aug'20 2008 and came to US on L1
changed company A with H1 visa . (company A did not do any COS again, since they say H1 is already with COS).
Want to know if my H1 is valid do I need to do any other things to
tell USCIS that I am on H1 NOW. Can I do stamping at Mexico/Cuba.
If there is any problem above how to come out of it.

Congressman Gutierrez showed exceptional courage and quality of a true leader by sponsoring STRIVE bill. If you don’t know, STRIVE bill has very good provisions to end green card backlog. But of’course, why would you care, you are simply dying to go back and simply wanted to show to the crowed that you are better than others. I agree that with apinto and gooblywoobly that risk assessment should be done by everybody. risk calculation can be best be approximate. But most people paint the best case and leave it there in order to enjoy material comforts.

When the adversity strikes, people write long stories without a moral at the end. The moral of the story is don't sign up for heavy loans and mortgages, when you are a temp . That's not your venture (risk) capital that you can just burn up like startups did in the silicon valley and ruined it.

Make a better film which says you can't buy a house or invest here, even if you can afford it and you cannot accept job promotions or change jobs due to restrictive immigration policies.

My companies has high paying financial institutions as its customers. Unless you have clearly written promise that they will apply for GC, you cannot fight in court. Secondly, even if they did give you in writing, there is no time limit on when they can file.....they can effectively file labor a month before 6th year of H1 and have you out of status and therefore layed off.
Taking advantage of employees by making insincere promises is not illegal, but is unethical.
It's good to know about these companies so that other's don't end-up with the same problem.

I have seen this same footage months ago and to it don't look real, its cooked. Some facts there are just un-digestible like the gora guy will take job of a waiter immediately after working as senior exec. cmon market is not that bad unless he don't know anything else and don't have ability to get other similar job, then he should be fired anyways. and then that carlos guy, his dress up don't seems convincing that other execs will give me good response after presentation. its all cooked... showing 600k+ numbers are all bogus.

Is it not possible to re-submit the documents all over, even though USCIS might be holding on to our first applications of July 2nd?

My colleague's friend's story.
Went to india for 3 weeks vacation..at POE, officer called his employer and asked "do you need him(a H1B) to work for this position? Cant you find any US Citizen?".
Apparently, the response from employer ( I think Desi consulting)is, "Yes..we dont need him..can find a USC"..
The poor guy is sent back.
Now, I asked my friend to inform his colleague to come forward and post his story at IV..but I doubt if he cares Rat's as** now that he is kicked out.
hmmm...I have a travel coming up in Nov/Dec...with all adventurous luck going on with me, I have other plans now :confused::confused:

With their announcement on July 17th, they have about 16 more days in this month left. It is a heavy workload for them to reject all the petitions (minimum 200K packages) which is unnecessary work and cost enourmous amount of money.
Also they will not invite another problem if the do not give sufficient time to the clients to file, what if someone receives the package Auguest 15. That will be another mess up.
It looks like SCs have rejected some applications on the same day (July 2nd), those applicants should have already received them(on July 3rd or 4th). They have to refile. Rejections after July 17th may not be true.
My lawer says:
Your application has reached INS on July 2nd and upon the statement from USIC on July 17th, it will be accepted.
