prevailing wage calculations for EB-2 applications to be filed for Sr. Systems Analyst and Sr. Software Engineer. As of January 1, 2010, these wage requests have to be filed using US DOL�s electronic iCert system. For the past couple of years, the NJ DOL had given us LEVEL II wages for these positions. Now, US DOL is giving us LEVEL III wages for these positions which is at $102,274

I wanted to confirm whether these wage Calculations Declared by DOL are correct to file for EB2 category and do we need to quote such high salary ranges.I have master's degree plus 5+years of Experience in IT field.So, i will qualify for EB2 category but only wanted to confirm whether the wages declared by DOL were correct in respect to Jan 2010
Anyone or the concerned attorney can you please clarify on this.

Hello Members,
I noticed that the dates on my i-765, i-131 and i-485 changed to 9/1/2008 today. This has not changed since I got my EAD. None of my wife's dates have changed. Does this mean anything? The things I have done lately that might (or might not) have caused this:
- Called CSR to check on status. She asked me to call back as my processing dates are not current yet.
- my lawyer sent G-28 so they could check on any information for me.
Here is some info:
i-140: 9/26/2005
i-485: 7/23/2007

I can tell you from my past dot com bust experience, getting companies to file for GC had become very tough. Getting labor certification cleared was even a bigger challenge. I can say, when economy goes south, immigrant's life gets tougher. Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

USCIS has reminded all applicants for Adjustment of Status, Asylum, Legalization and Temporary Protected Status to obtain an Advance Parole (AP) document before traveling abroad. AP allows an applicant to re-enter the U.S. after traveling abroad.
In order to obtain Advance Parole, individuals must file Form I-131, Application for Travel Document to USCIS. The USCIS cautions individuals planning on traveling abroad to file Form I-131 well in advance of their travel plans (approximately 90 days before) in order to prevent possible conflicts.
We suggest all applicants of I-131 to file it in time to get the AP approval before leaving the U.S., otherwise it could have dire consequences and may result in an individual not being able to re-enter. Therefore, individuals that have a pending I-485 are encouraged to apply for Advance Parole before traveling abroad for easier re-entry if the circumstances of their current status changes.

I know everyone says Interim EAD is done with. But this is from the form on the USCIS website. Any ideas?

I noticed they have a Calls to Action from Groups and Organization on the home page, When i tried to see if there are any Immigration related issues posted There were many like increasing H2A etc but nothing corresponding to Retrogression or GC waiting faced by thousands of immigrants.
There are 100s of bills waiting for Co-sponsors published on this website.
I felt we should do post about the issues faced by Thousands of Legal immigrants who are struck in retrogression or Per country limit.
This may be a good place to put as a number of representatives may view it and it is a good way for us to let the people know of the issues.
Any thoughts........

AP not yet received. But EADs have been received for me and my husband (primary applicant). However, my daughter is yet to receive her EAD. Anybody with a similar case? I tried calling IO in USCIS but they say that it may come any time within 90 days of the notice date (not the receipt date!):mad:

My friend needs to attend a family urgency and planning to travel immediately . His AP is expiring on 3 Sep 09( 4 days ) . He is working on EAD and is in Adjustment status he is yet to start the AP renewal process ...any advice appreciated...

My parents will be visiting us here soon, and when they return, we want to see if we can send kids to India (2 and 5yrs). Kids have never been to India, and I would like to know which is a better option and why. Greatly appreciate your advice.
