All the best AllVNeedGcPc. I completely understand how difficult it would be to wait for this last step without knowing what is happening.
1. Here are the email addresses that I used. Got a response from the NSC email address after three days that I need to wait for 60 days and have to send a written request.
*ncscfollowup.nsc@dhs.gov
*ebupdate.tsc@dhs.gov
2. Yes, my lawyer did send a explicit letter. Bottom line on that letter was "A request is hereby made to interfile the latest I-140 approval with his "A" file. Kindly make sure that the applicant's pending I-485 file reflects the new I-140 approval which has a priority date of July 8 2003 and it reflects classification under Sec. 203 (b) (2).
3. Also I didn't mention one other thing on the original post was that I have placed multiple call to 800-375-5283 to make sure that my I-485 is processed as EB2.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need any further information.

One thing for sure USCIS do likes April fools day a lot as this the date they usually pick when the retrogress. This proves that a fool named DOS in love with April fools day.:)
I don't know if anybody has noticed it but the dates for EB-2 for VB October 2007 was April 1, 2004 and for VB October 2008 is April 1, 2003. That is a retrogression of 1 year - not good.

We applied in Nebraska in August 2003, Cleared in State on August 29th 2003, Transferred to Chicago DOL on Sept 1st 2003..Got Certfied on Oct 16th 2003...So yes..in some states Labor was VERY Quick.
This is precisely the reason why PERM was introduced and backlog elimnation centers .People filing from Nebraska and Alabama were getting labour in 15 days to a months time .

Please step up to the plate. Only five shots to be fired. Only a few precious hours left before I start my travel to DC and I don't mind talking to myself. You are most welcome to interject me with a post stating your contribution.
In my posts so far, I have tried to maintain a distinction between donation and contribution. In my dictionary these are two separate words. If you go thru my earlier posts, I had never requested for donations, every time I used the word contribution.
For me the only big difference is; donations are made because you heart told you to part with a small fortune because the cause was moving or the subject was close to your heart earlier (but it does not affect you now). Successful outcome is not probably important to you. (For example donating to American Cancer Society). You do not stay back to make sure the cause was actually fulfilled, you would like to, but other events in your life draw you away. Contributions on the other hand are part help and part self help. You believe in the cause and you stay back to make sure the outcome is moving in the right direction, and if it doesn’t, you tend to loose, not only your contribution but your passion too, which is valued so much more than your monetarycontribtion, and if the cause is getting lost you try to bring it back on the tracks someway, somehow.

mbawa2574...IV is run by a bunch of volunteers as against full time execs (like Red Cross and La Raza) who are elected. For argument sake, even if we have elections, who are going to vote....anonymous handles like you and me??
With all due respect to you, simply calling the current core team to quit does not make any sense. IMHO, they have done everything they could. The one thing that everybody has to understand is the current political climate for an immigration debate is so bad that it has become the 3rd wheel in politics that no one wants to touch. We are a drop of water when compared to the sea of undocumented workers that are in the forefornt of this debate and nobody gives a flying jack about the employment based applicants whom both the left and the right don't want anything to do with. With such a hostile political climate, why would I vote for a new team who has no experience in the workings of Washington versus the current team's 3 year experience?
Yeah, you are right when you said we may need to think about new/different strategies. But, the big question is what are those strategies? let's say we have elections and elect new core team, how is that team going to change the way we lobby or the way we raise money or the way we get the message across?
The one thing I would do differently as a core team is to reach out to a big community based org like La Raza, for example, and learn their method of communication and their fundraising efforts and see if we can implement it here at IV (easier said than done).

Wow, there you go! How come it becomes not 'stupid' when a girl spends husband's money to support her parents?
This, effectively, means that if the girl stops earning for any reason such as pregnancy or is unable to earn, she immediately forfeits the right to send money to her parents. This is the most illogical statement I have ever heard.
And it also means that for any reason, if a girl remains a house wife, she has no right to send any money to the parents like you, as the earning member, do.
This is the very strange attitude that may get a marriage in trouble.
Why shouldn't a husband send money to his parents from his earnings? The husband and wife can talk about it and based on circumstances take a decision.
BUT if the girl takes for granted her rights to spend for her parents from husband's earnings, then it becomes an issue!
Did I even say husband shouldn't send money to his parents from his earnings?
But shouldn't that be also need-based? How come it is the right of the husband to send any amount of money he wants to his parents without the wife complaining and how come it becomes a case of "taking for granted" when a non-earning wife wants to send money to her folks in need? This is a hypothetical situation and nothing to do with OP's case.
And then how is it we, husbands, are the first ones to start complaining when our wives don't get a share of our in-laws property following their demise?
And tell me then, following a divorce why are there laws which require you to split your net worth evenly with your non-working ex-wife? Is that acceptable to you then or you want to put forth an argument that "hey, we don't have a child and she is no longer my wife and so I am not obligated to give her a dime"

I registered to this site today and just read this forum.. ..and ..simply freaking out
My attorney applied my Labor in Nov 2006 (according to him) in Atlanta and I still dont have any response no audit .nothing .it is just in processcan u believe it?
can I do something from my end
I hope 140 and 485 is still not in retrogression state . Do u guys know how long it will continue to be in this state

Dost.. tum to bade hi budhu ho.... dawa karao apne dimag ki.... ya ho sakta hai ki tum EB3 ho.
Needless to say.. u are not very intelligent.
I will see how you react when the entire 12 million illegals get chance to file in EB3 and your Eb3 bulletin dates goes to 1968.
I guess you are from NumbersUSA trying to create diffs between EB2 and EB3. Nice try, its not going to work.
If you are not then you need a vacation.

Hi!
I'm RN outside the US:cool:
I will try to answer on your second question first. Shumer/Hutchinson amendment is the only our chanse for now. Try hammond law group, or shusterman, you will find info about it there. Shortly, it is the second try of Mr.Shumer and Ms. Hutchinson to amend an "Omnibous Bill" with a favorable for nurses and PT amendment. It would provide all schedule "A" with 61000 visas! If it is passed, we will be in chocolate:D , I mean you will get your GC in approximately 6-8 months (or a year). Nobody knows what are the chanses! My opinion that we have 50% that such a bill will be attached, and than we again have 50% that it will be passed and signed by Bush, before the end of the year. If we are not lucky we would not see any favorable bills till after the elections of president and senate, late 2009(!).
Under EB3(if no schedule "A", and there is no other favorable changes in immigration law),and you are from India, you will have to wait forewer (10 years or so)! But if you are in the US, and you will be able to file I485, DO IT!
My advise is: file I140 as soon as possible, not sure about the avilability of premium processing, if you can, then use it also, if you can file I140 and I485 concurently - DO IT! I'm not familiar with procedures for PT, maybe you will find information here:

hi chisinau,
thanks for all the info...i missed the july opportunity as my employer told me that filing I-140 would take atleast a month....including applying for labor ETA 9089 form, job posting etc....so i could not file I-140 before july 31st....and the august 17 deadline is not valid for me anymore...
it seems difficult to comprehend that all PTsts and nurses coming to US from india wud now have to face 10 yrs of wait for GC especially with acute shortage of these professions here....i am sure some kind of bill or extra numbers would be given for these professions to speed up the process......in some states there is such an acute shortage for PTs that they are paying huge sign on bonus and pay package and the future demand is going to increase due to baby boomer generation retirement.....with h1 numbers going down to 65k for ordinary and only 20k for masters,i am sure there would be some steps taken to ensure getting more PTs and nurses from outside US in the future(2-3 years)......lets hope for the best n keep our fingers crossed.......
thanks for all the info again n all the best for ur process

Digging it is fine, but dont forget to email it. That is the best way to keep it visible. Email it to your friends, colleages, etc.
By the way, I checked at www.digg.com and articles such as "Geek Squad Caught On Video Stealing Porn From Customer's Computer" are number 1. Our issues are nowhere at the top, (or anywhere). The geek squad article, though numero uno on digg, is not exactly CNN headlies, to put it mildly.
Common sense tells me digg is hugely over rated. Focus energies on the real deal guys.

Until 2003 end most the people have filed 485. It all started when the cases were moved to BEC. Most of the cases were from 2004 and some from 2003/2/1/0.
Our firm had five 2002/2003 LCs cleared in March , after uscis sent out notice to either convert them to RIR processing or abandon it. I guess there are many old cases to be still applied for 485.

The reason CIS isnt processing EB3 for last 3 months is because the dates are U and since they have lot of pressure not to waste visa numbers they have put all resources into EB2.
I have seen EB2 cases filed in May-08 been approved.
But i know this is unfair for EB3 people like us waiting for over a yr.
