Finally my 485 is approved,
" On July 26, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS"
Long wait is over....
I thank IV core members and all others for their efforts and information.

PD - Nov2003
RD - Aug 2004
Approved - 7/26/2007
RFE - Birth Certificate and 325, Yes replied last Sept.
wow..when did you file your I-485? cos, I am in Jan2003 and never had a chance to file 485 until now...could you elaborate???

I've been using 3dsmax for a year or so...
I mostly do only images like that.
Making characters and animating them is my weak side (I can't do high-quality or smooth things because my computer stops responding (3dsmax is just a little too much for my compu))

Do not worry about it. As long as you keep your job, you are fine. I've been thru the same situation, did not do anything special and got my GC.

Lawyer received the I140 approval email filed on DEC 2006 yesterday. he has raised SR last month.
But I havent received any mail from CRIS and the USCIS website doesnt show the approval as well till now.
Has someone experienced like this before - lawyer getting it first and the uscis webisite took a long time to update if it did at all.
Any comments pls?

I did not generate. The employer did, but I paid the taxes due 925% + 12.5 % employer tax)

My wife had Henna on her hand when she went for her FP. The officer asked her did not take her finger prints and asked her to send that letter to their office by mail for re-scheduling the appointment. She sent the letter and got another appointment within 40 days. No problems in the second appearance.

My infopass IO told me so. My wife's namecheck got cleared last October. However, it was waiting for mine and it cleared the hurdle July 08. So yes, it matters even if one year has passed since I applied for 485.

I asked this before but did not get any answer. Trying my luck again. I lost my OPT card and unfortunately have no records what so ever of it.
Is there a way I can get a copy of this from USCIS?
USCIS will not give you a copy.
OK There are two places you can find your OPT CArd.
1. International Students Office of your College (if you had given thema copy, most likely).
2. The company that you were employed during OPT(Definitely they take a copy of this OPT Card. Check with them.)
Hope you will find Luck with this.

Your current employer experience has to be prior to your labor filing date (PD). You can not use the experience you got after the filing date.

Let me try to make a humble suggestion here - why don't you try writing a really short and direct letter, so that even the laziest guy cannot help but read it?
For example:
Respected Mr. Senator
I would like to draw your attention to the bill <blah blah> which is very important from the point of view of people waiting in line to be legal immigrants
I wish that you lend your valuable support to this bill as it will help eliminate the backlogs and delays in issuing green cards to people from retrogressed countries like myself. This is essential to ensure that all people are treated equally irrespective of their country of birth

Both the H1b have the same president's name and address during the application. is that enough. As I left that company and have no good terms with the last company anymore I don't know what kind of proof I can get. Also during the H1b application for Company A I receive some paper from the compnay that mentioned that the payroll of Company B is processed by Company A. All my W2's are from company A even i was working for company B.
Please advice
You have to somehow prove to USCIS that company A and C are subsidiaries and mere mentioning that they have been owned by the same person may not fly. You need some kind of proof on paper.
This is just one suggestion , ofcourse you have to talk to a lawyer before doing anything.
