Yesterday Congressman Joe Wilson talked to reporters about his claim that the President was lying about immigrants having access to health care subsidies under the President's health care plan. I have applied for AP (I131) on 8/14/09 and my I-485 got approved on 9/01/09. Is USCIS is going to return my I131 fee or is there anything I have to initiate from my end to get the refund?.

Both cards should arrive to the address that CIS has on file for the couple. The wife's departure from the US should not affect this. However, she needs to have the card to return to the US, ideally. Hopefully husband can send her the card.

hi,
My company allows me to DIY my h1b renewal for my 2nd 3-year term of H1b. My title changed to SENIOR research engineer from research engineer last year. I have the same duty. When I fill out LCA/I129, which should I choose from:
a. New employment:
b. Continuation of previously approved employment without change with the same employer
c. Change in previously approved employment
d. New concurrent employment
e. Change in employer
f. Amended petition
My wage is ok. Are there any potential problems or things I need to pay attention if I file my H1b extension with new title? or it is perfectly ok?

I'm concurrently filing 140 and 485 at NSC (my application shd be out in 2-3 days). I've obtained a waiver and my J-1 expires next year Aug 2008. What do you guys feel that if this much time is enough to obtain the decision regarding those two applications. I'll be getting my and wife's EAD in 3 months. Should I used EAD after my J-1 expries or else I move to H-1 a month before it expires. Presently my wife is working in a private company (j-2 EAD). My lawyer discouraged me by saying that my applicaation could be rejected as J-1 is non-immigrant intent visa?? Please reply...

Your PD is not Current also there is no premium processing for EB2 yet. You can file I140 through your Lawyer.

If your 140 is approved the chances of 485 denial are quite remote. however most attorneys recommend that you try to stay on H1 as much as possible

Hello All,
I am on H1 Right now and through the same employer i filed my GC in May 2007 (I-140 approved in Oct' 2007)
but I have got an offer from another company who is willing to transfer my H1, so wanted to know what is the best options.
- Should i Switch on H1 and if yes, can i start working for them before the H1 Transfer process is complete
- If I did decide to go on H1 then do i need to file some documents for my I-485 and EAD Renewal as well (meaning do i have to inform USCIS about my change in employer for GC application)

What is Image Croping? U need to understand that! The area which you will select will give you the x y co-ordinates which should be fed into the LockBit method this method will retutn a pointer. Yes the code will be unsafe but it will work i did it. Now Use the scan0 property then increment the pointer [0] for green [1] for blue [2] red and copy to any another file which will become your new croped image. I can provide you the source code snippet but why dont u try for urself first thats how people lear not by spoon feeding. Try a bit googling with search string as Simple Dialation Using C#. I am currently on L1 visa and want to apply for H1 through a small-time consulting company. However, I will decide on joining the new company only after I get the H1 visa.
* Is it get H1 visa and not join the company that has filed for my H1?
* Can I legally continue with my current company even after I get my H1?
* Can I join a third company instead of joining the company that has filed for my H1?
Can people share their experiences?

I filed paper based AP at Nebraska service center and got AP in 5 weeks. Pretty painless except paying them 300 for 2 pieces of paper is outrageous.

My attorney sent in EAD renewal applications for me and my spouse. We got a receipt from USCIS yesterday with a MSC receipt number with some information on scheduling biometrics. I called my attorney and asked him about the same. He said that this is normal as he did the right thing by sending our application to a lock box address in Chicago. We are wisconsin residents. Please advise if this is fine to get a recipet notice from the Missouri service center address.

New numbers are out on H-1B usage and the past week showed last week's substantial pickup was just noise. Only 800 visas were claimed against the 65,000 cap, half of last week's total and somewhat less than the typical weekly usage we've seen over the summer. 37,400 H-1Bs have been counted now.
