    Hi,
    I wanted to know if we can transfer an approved H1 while on OPT?

    For ex Company A applies for my H1 and gets approved in May 2007 although it applies fromOct 2007. Now i get an offer from Company B before Oct 2007 say in July 2007. Can i transfer my H1 even though it starts from Oct 2007?

    Company A filed my I-140 and it got approved, however I have not been provided with copy of the approval notice. I don't have the receipt number either. In this case, is it possible to obtain the copy of I-140 thru FOIA (Freedom of Information Act)?

    just finished going thro all the proposed ammendments...only a handful (1154, 1156, 1166, 1183, 1200, 1220, 1242, 1249) deal with EB issues at all....very few of them are positive (3) for us.........also based on an article on immigration-law website, EB based people have no voice in the negotiations!!! so...as frusterating this may be.....its looking like a certainity that many of us will be screwed big time..........lets keep doing what we can through IV.......it looks all dooms though.........:mad:

    My mother is a GC holder since 91. I came to US in 2002 on F1 and then H1 and now GC.

    Will the fact that my mom was a GC holder and I did not use that impact my GC? I have answered all the questions correctly(true i mean) always.

    I have a question about forming an LLC while being on H1B. I am entering into an agreement with an Incorporated company to provide my technical services to it and in return they need to give me a percentage of the revenue. Clearly, I cannot enter into this kind of arrangement as myself as I not authorized to work in the US. For that I am planning to form an LLC or an Incorporation and my company will enter into a contract with the other Incorporation. Is this legal or will this be construed as an effort to bypass H1B laws? I'll still be doing the daytime job and fulfilling my obligations that I have with the H1B sponsoring employer.

    Please let me know your opinion.
